5. Aloe Vera

Using either the aloe vera plant or gel can be a soothing and cooling remedy for burns. You can also use aloe vera to treat wounds, skin infections, and dandruff.

6. Duct tape

Duct tape is one of the most universal tools — you can use it a 101 different ways. To use it for warts, use duct tape to cover the wart. This is not an overnight remedy, as the duct tape needs to cover the wart for a couple of weeks. If you like this tip, check out #12 — it always works for me!

7. Milk of magnesia and hydrogen peroxide for canker sores

Canker sores are so irritating and painful! Put that pain on pause by mixing hydrogen peroxide and water directly to the sore by using a cotton swab. Follow that by dabbing a small amount of milk of magnesia on the canker sore afterward. Repeat this 3 to 4 times a day.

8. Pencil for headache pain

Before you take an over-the-counter medication to help with that headache, hold a pencil down between your teeth. Doing this will cause your jaw muscles to relax and will help relieve some of your pain.
