Bullies Called His Sister “Fat.” So He Wrote This Gut-Wrenching Letter To Show Her His Brotherly Love

Karen Suffern, a single mother with a part-time job, asked her 8-year-old twins to write an early letter to Santa back in 2013, expecting to hear what any 8-year-old would want. But what she read from her son Ryan took her by surprise.

Her son Ryan asked for kids to stop bullying his sister. He wished kids would stop calling Amber “fat” and “stupid.” Although she didn’t know why they said those things, Amber was still hurt by their cruel words.

Here is the beginning snippet of his letter to Santa:

“Dear Santa … I wanted a [remote control] car and helicopter, but I don’t want that anymore. Kids at school are still picking on Amber and it’s not fair because she doesn’t do anything to them. I prayed that they will stop but god is busy and needs your help. Is it against the rules to give gifts early?”

But that’s not all Ryan asked for… he next requested that Amber’s favorite band to play for their birthday… “that would make Amber so happy!”, he wrote. Thanks to Good Morning America, Amber got this surprise and so much more.
