Customer service is one of those jobs that, unfortunately, isn’t always pleasant.
The people you’re dealing with are coming to you because they’re unhappy about something, and some of them can be very vocal about it.
Rob, a customer service representative for British grocery/retail giant Tesco’s, has undoubtedly dealt with plenty of unpleasant customers in his time.
Thankfully, when he recently logged in to answer a message on the company’s Facebook, he was pleasantly surprised by what he saw.
Wes Metcalfe had apparently purchased a cucumber from Tesco’s and unwrapped it to find a dead worm had been trapped between the cucumber and the shrink wrap. His complaint, however, was pretty tongue-in-cheek and written in a very humorous way which Rob was also quick to join in on. It didn’t take long until their humorous exchange caught the attention of the internet…
Wes Metcalfe found a dead worm on a cucumber he bought recently from Tesco’s, so he decided to write to them about it.
“We decided to name him William,” he said. “Our new pet appeared to be very unresponsive.”
Rob from Tesco’s customer service department didn’t take long to reply with his own heartfelt response.
That inspired Metcalfe to pen his own poetic tribute to William.
As you can see, the funeral arrangements were quite tasteful.
Things just escalated from there…
Their hilarious back-and-forth quickly went viral and garnered thousands of likes on Facebook.
A lot of people say Rob should get a promotion, and frankly, I have to agree!
